Dates Accounts and Tax Returns are due
Sole Traders and PartnershipsIf your business is a Sole Trader or a Partnership then you can draw up your accounts to any date you wish. Your Tax Return is always up to the 5th April and that is due to be submitted with Annual Accounts to HMRC no later than 31st January the following year, the same date any Tax is due.
Tax is payable on 31st January and 31st July each year. |
Limited CompaniesIf your business is a Limited Company you have 9 months from your year end to file Annual Accounts with Companies House. At the same time your Corporation Tax must be paid to HMRC and within 12 months of the year end your Corporation Tax Return must be filed with HMRC.
Each Company has a different year end, this is normally determined by the month in which the Company was originally formed , being 12 months from that date, unless the year end has been subsequently changed. The dates below are the absolute deadline in which accounts must reach Companies House. However we aim to complete your Annual Accounts many months before this deadline so you know absolutely what your accounting position is for the year and how much tax you have to pay. Indeed we will subject to work load prepare your year end accounts as early as possible.
